Hello all,

One of my blogging pals forwarded this YouTube video to me, and I thought that it conveyed a very important message, rather than just being hilarious. Go ahead, and watch it, and scroll down for my comments, and after reading, please do add your own comments.

Yes, I know it was damn hilarious. It was fun to relate to most of the stuff said in the video, and glimpse back like baboons and exclaim "Oh my God, thats pretty amazing true!". :D

But did you get the final point? The video, like many of its predecessors, are questioning whether Web 2.0 is a bubble which could just break like that. From what we’ve seen so far – the rapid expansion – it could certainly be a bubble which could break at any moment. But how could it break?

Either, something major like a 9/11 could happen again, bringing about a paradigm shift of technology and cause the bubble to burst. Or, Web 2.0 might give way for something more radical and dynamic. Or even a massive discovery in terms of hardware could bring about a shift.

What do you think? Is what we see and use everyday, Web 2.0, a bubble? If so, what will cause it to burst – economy? War? Development? Technology? Post in your comments through the comments field. :)

Adios until ma next :)

Interactive Souls Engine – Virtual Tarot – reads your mind…

In other words, a perfect way to split your friend’s psyche and make him/her start worshipping all forces of fate, luck, and God.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I had the most curious of experiences today, when I thought that I was in a highly spiritual domain, but was in fact ’sucked’ to the core. It all started with me walking quite unnecessarily into the college Internet lab. There, I found two of my friends in an overly excited state ogling one of the computer screens with as much ‘oomph’ into their ogle as they’d seen a very beautiful and attractive girl. Needless to say, there WAS a girl sitting in between them, with a smug self satisfied expression on her face.

The trio invited me to a highly spiritual experience – I saw that they had the site called Peter Answers open. The girl typed in a petition (Peter, please answer:) and a question (Who just walked in?). I was like the all-in-all geek and dismissed the whole thing with a haughty wave of my hand, when to my utter astonishment, the words on screen formed "Mohan". I was digging my sub consious mind for all that I’d learned about iterations and random selections, when she asked what I was wearing to ‘Peter’, who promptly replied with my exact costume.

To find out what was amiss, I myself tried it out, and found that "I didn’t believe in spirits". The three musketeers told me that the phenomenon was true to only a select few. I tried the game a couple more times, and by lucky coincidence, the words on screen and my thoughts and feelings matched once. I fell into deep contemplation, and later undisturbed prayer. I started thanking all Gods for having achieved this state above Maslow’s Self Actualization – Transcendental stage! I started spreading the word to all my friends, till the logical me decided to look into the source…

The Source took me to a few lines of Ajax. "Ajax is God!" I reflected and continued looking… Hmmmm… Fishy…. Something extremely fishy… I decided to appeal to the God of the Internet, the master who controlled all what came in, and kicked out all which had to be out, the undisputed king of the entire Internet – Google. With a few references, and a closer look at the source, revealed a fantastic trick hidden beneath those spiritual theological layers.

An excellent way to trick your friends, like I was buffooned into this!

But before I continue, check out the site and give it a couple of tries.

The trick is simple enough. The "Petition" field is a farce. Hit the "." (period) and type – you’ll find text appearing out of nowhere. Whatever you type after hitting the period will be the text intended to appear. Put in the answer to your question here.

Now type the question as if nothing happened in the "Question" field. And moment you hit "?" the text you typed in in the Petition after the dot will appear! Voila! Abracadabra! Wingardium Leviosa! (woops, wrong one :D )

So how can it be used? Simple enough again. Get a few friends together, and tell them that you’ve reached self actualization, and that you could communicate with the netherworld. Ask you friends to ask the questions. If they know the answer, tell it out loud. Or if its an opinion, like in "Does she love me?" and stuff, just form the most witty answer yourself. Hit period and start typing the answer in the Petition field, and the question as normal! Enjoy :)

Allright guys, this time, Greenpeace has really gone bonkers! Remember the last time Greenpeace went on about toxic substances on an iMac? Well, this time, they’ve hit the iPhone. Well, its pretty funny. Let me take out excerpts.

But before that, a general overview. Greenpeace is protesting about the use of a certain group of organic chemicals called phthalates, which are reportedly used in the vinyl plastic earphone wiring in the iPhone. According to Greenpeace, the levels of usage are more than at levels that are prohibited in young children’s toys in San Francisco and the European Union.

Ok, excerpt fun time!

"The phthalates found in the headphone cords are classified in Europe as ‘toxic to reproduction’ because of their long-recognized ability to interfere with sexual development. While they are not prohibited in mobile phones, these phthalates are banned from use in all toys or childcare articles sold in Europe. Apple should eliminate the use of these chemicals from its products range," said David Santillo, senior scientist at the Greenpeace Research Laboratories, who coordinated the project and deconstructed the iPhone for analysis.

Could someone please answer me : what are iPhones for? I could be wrong, but I thought iPhones were for humans above the "child" age group, for making phone calls, listening to music, and for all other uses a PDA might be put to use. Why would anyone buy a $500 USD item, so that its headphone cable might be utilized by their 2 year old child to jerk off???!!!

Ok, now wait for the fun fact. It seems that Greenpeace has got a missing link somewhere, since Wikipedia, the world’s largest online encyclopedia, claiming to be marginally more accurate than Britannica Encyclopaedia, says -

Phthalates are also frequently used in nail polish, fishing lures, adhesives, caulk, paint pigments, and sex toys made of so-called "jelly rubber."

Uh, sex toys made out of sexual development inhibitory chemicals? Are the people manufacturing sex toys sadists or something? But wait, the article went on to say -

The Dutch office of Greenpeace UK sought to encourage the European Union to ban sex toys that contained phthalates.

Wait a second! Can we look at the first Greenpeace announcement excerpt again?

Chemicals in the Cupertino-based company’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) device include "phthalates" in the vinyl plastic earphone wiring at levels that are prohibited in young children’s toys in San Francisco and the European Union, Greenpeace said.

Taking the basic arithmetic principle a=b, b=c, thus c=a; is Greenpeace suggesting that sex toys are young children’s toys????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has somebody seriously messed up at Greenpeace? Or is it a lack of coordination between the PR wing and the Action wing? Or is it just a journalistic error?

So let me sum up the implications of the Greenpeace announcement -

  1. Sex toys are young children’s toys.
  2. The iPhone’s headphone wire contains toxic substances which hamper a child’s sexual development. They should be replaced.
  3. iPhone’s headphone wire is primarily used for jerking off by kids. This could hamper their sexual growth.

Greenpeace really needs to review their press releases! Oh, by the way, here are my sources -

Cheers :)

Hi all,
How many of you knew about the Easter Egg in Google Earth? Its a HUGE Easter Egg! Its a Flight Simulator game which could rival Microsoft’s Flight Simulator (well yes, thats a bit exaggerated…). Yep, you didn’t know did you? All the time you were using Google Earth to see your home and office and car in the car park, you never thought it had another fun side did you?

Folks, we’re talking real here! To unlock the flight simulator you need to open Google Earth and hit Command+Option+A on a Mac or Ctrl+Alt+A on a Windows PC. You can find more information about the controls from the Google Earth Flight Sim Manual.

Interesting eh? Yes, I know its pretty basic, but still :D Well, have fun :) Cheers!

Hi guys,
Hutch is now Vodafone. And I miss Hutch :( . I used to love the little doggy and the song that went you and I… In this beautiful world… Green grass, blue sky… In this beautiful world… I guess Vodafone will incorporate their own ad techniques. Bring in more professionalism maybe? But there was something personal in Hutch which made Hutch, Hutch.

So, I went on a Hutch song hunt, before it was closed down, and was able to track down an MP3 on the net. Its the original Hutch song, hosted by some good soul on Rapidshare. If you were a Hutchie like me, this might interest you :) .

    Download it here : http://rs170.rapidshare.com/files/47728572/u_n_i_original.mp3

Cheers, and feel free to pass the message to anyone who might be interested.
