Hello all,
I’ve been receiving many hits from the search query IIST, the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) which I had featured on a previous article. So I decided on helping you searcher students out
Here’s the basic information to put you on the right track.

What is IIST?
Its a new world class institute in Kerala set up by the ISRO, Indian Space Research Organization (ranked #4 in the world), to sponsor undergraduate and postgraduate studies in space technology, and engineering fields, and for direct placement in ISRO. The IIST will share resources and facilities with ISRO, thus delivering high standards and first hand experience which students will get no where else in the world!
How good is it?
It will be the best choice if you are interested in space technology/avionics. ISRO is currently the world’s No.4 ranked space organization. Their technology and facilities are unmatched by any other institute in India. Thus, the IIST is bound to be a great choice for a budding astro scientist. Be assured, you will get as much, if not more, exposure at IIST as any IIT.
Where’s it?
Ponmudi, in Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala. Its placed there so as to be near the ISRO center at Trivandrum. Its a temporary campus until the main campus is fully set up near VSSC.
What are the courses offered?
Bachelors Degree in Technology with specialization in Avionics, and Aerospace Engineering and Integrated Masters Programme in Applied Sciences with special emphasis on Space related subjects.
Admission Eligibility?
You need to be an Indian citizen, and must have appeared for the IIT JEE exam. All the candidates who are placed in the extended list of IIT JEE 2007 are eligible to apply in the first phase. Candidates in the JEE rank list may apply in the second phase, if they haven’t opted for a seat at an IIT.
The admission to IIST will be based on Personal Counselling. IIST will intimate all the students placed in the extended list of IIT-JEE 2007 along with detailed prospectus. Students will be requested to register online for counselling only on receipt of prospectus.
What is the intake capacity?
B.Tech in Space Technology – Avionics – 50 Seats
B.Tech in Space Technology – Aerospace Engineering – 40 seats
Integrated Masters in Applied Sciences – 30 seats
Placements…
All the students who successfully complete the academic programme with a minimum first class will be absorbed as Scientist/Engineer SC in the pay scale of Rs. 8000-275-13500 (likely to be revised) in ISRO with a service condition of 5 years.
So thats it… Listed below are a few more links which you will find extremely useful -

Hi i got selected for this institute in JEE 2007 and i really want to go to there, do you have ne info about the admission procedure apart from what is mentioned at the site plz let me know and your post really helped
June 2nd, 2007 at 1:53 pm
Hi Ankur,
Congrats! Sorry, but I have no other information. I’m a +2 passout this year, just like you, but my interests lie outside the field of science, so I’m going in for a BA in English and Mass Comm.
The page http://iist.ac.in/AdmissionProcess.php seems to be comprehensive though..

Are there any prospects for B. Tech Graduates from IIST in aeronautical engineering?
What are the job prospects outside ISRO, whether in India or outside?

I’m not an authority from ISRO or IIST to say, just a well wisher.
Naturally, you have a very good future after Aeronautical Engineering at IIST, since these people SPECIALIZE in that category.
You’re bonded to work for ISRO for 5 years if you accept their financial assistance, but let me ask you, what can be better than working at the world’s fastest developing space research organization?
And I distinctly detest your attitude of “outside” India… You study at one of the best institutes of India, sponsored by the Government of India, facilitated by the Government of India, and you’re looking for personal gain before giving something to the country? Hoo boy…
June 4th, 2007 at 12:59 am
hi!!….
this helped me out a lot. Thanks!! But i want to know that is it compulsory to work at ISRO directly after completing the UG programme?..can i pursue further studies in this field like doing MS from an even better institute ? Please help me with a bit of more knowledge about this
June 4th, 2007 at 10:36 am

June 4th, 2007 at 11:15 am
@Kaushik : As far as I gather from the website, if you accept financial aid from ISRO, then you’ll have to work for them for 5 years. I don’t know too much about this, you’ll know more when you get your prospectus.
@Manish : Try Googling for “Aeronautical Engineering Careers” or “Avionics Careers” or “Aerospace Engineering Careers”.
June 4th, 2007 at 7:50 pm
all i know about iist is frm d net only.i am too eager to get admision in dis institute.i qualified in d extended merit list of iit-jee 2007.i don`t know wen i`m going to get the prospectus…..if anyone gets information please inform me.
June 4th, 2007 at 9:19 pm
sure that courses offered by IIST and IISER would be a worldclass. But, central govt. pay-scales mentioned demotivates today’s youth who look for extraordinary packages after doing a course and that too in no time. thanks.
June 5th, 2007 at 10:08 am
Sanjai,
How cool is that?
You should look at the level of EXPERIENCE you are going to gain. You can always opt out after 5 years… Guess what? After 5 years, if you join a private sector, you’ll even get PENSION!!!
June 5th, 2007 at 11:03 am
what does this line means ” Students will be requested to register online for counselling only on receipt of prospectus”
June 5th, 2007 at 11:10 am
hi i am selected but i am confused join or not do somebody tell me i want to go in IIM After it can ido so if it has any crage in MBA IN AEROSPACE
June 5th, 2007 at 5:47 pm
I would like to know whether there would be any entrance exam for admission to IIST. Anyone who is qualified in extended list of JEE2007 plz CALL 9892649478 or e-mail at kamini1289@yahoo.co.in
June 5th, 2007 at 11:01 pm
@Shumbham - it means exactly what is says. You will be allowed for online counselling once you get your prospectus.
@Vinay - MBA Aerospace? I havn’t heard that one! But once you have an MBA degree after a Aerospace Btech, then you can easily opt for management in aeronautical firms.
@Kamini - The entrants will be from JEE 2007 extended list. No extra entrance exam. There might be an interview though…
June 7th, 2007 at 12:12 pm
thanxs mohan for all the information u gave abt iist
one more ques i will like to ask , as the instiute has been opened recently , so will iist be able to maintain its education quality and faculty quality and will it be able to maintain research environment in its institute ?
if u know anybody from isro pls provide me his/her email id
June 7th, 2007 at 2:32 pm
hi everyone!myself harshita.even i’m interested in joining iist.you talked that the students will be admitted after personal interview. so that means that all the students who have been put in the extended list of jee 2007 won’t be admitted coz the no. of seats in iist is less than the no. of students that have been put in the extended list.will the interview be a tough one? also i wanna know that will joining iist gaurantee me a job atleast in isro or elsewhere with a handsome salary?
what about the infrastructure and other facilities of iist? please reply me sooooooooooooooon!
June 7th, 2007 at 5:39 pm
hi, reading all the questions gave me a good idea but still i would wanna know that after the course completion wat kinda pay scale would i be expecting and is there any chance of going in the private sector after the course.
June 7th, 2007 at 10:29 pm
will iist n iiser provide b.tech degree which iit provides?how many children have been included in extended merit list
June 7th, 2007 at 11:28 pm
@Rajani, Oh yes indeed, IIST will maintain the IIT standard. In fact, I wouldnt be surprised if IIST OVERTAKES IIT once their permanent campus has been set up! Like I said, imagine how it will be to be learning space research when your teachers belong to the fastest developing space organization in the world! Ofcourse, they will maintain a research environment, maybe not as much as an IIT or IISc, but still, they will. Considering the fact that you can do all the research you want during the 5 years at ISRO, why bother at all?
@Soumendu, I hear from my friends that about 1000 students have been placed in the extended list.
@Rishabh, sorry, no body can tell you that. It all depends upon your skill, intelligence, experience, and where you join. But I would opinion that this profession is more for the hardcore space science fans, rather than money making. Its more of job satisfaction and pursuing your dream than making money.
June 8th, 2007 at 7:12 am
It is interesting - my anxiety as aired by some of my friends that after completing MS in Aerospace in US you may not get placement in the USA for non-US citiezens. Is this correct?
June 8th, 2007 at 10:53 am
thanx mohan , one more thing i will like to ask , is it possible in further years in iist students are not selected for admission from jee
June 9th, 2007 at 10:50 am
iist is new one to serve for ISRO & if i am admitted to it i would belong to 1st batch of engineers at iist. there are limited jobs & more of research field. serving ISRO for 5 yrs. & pay scale set up i am not ready for it.in such a case should i opt for NIT . will i get EE
June 9th, 2007 at 12:16 pm
but the coaching institutes like fiitjee r claiming that 1400 stud frm their inst. themselves.how can 1000 be possible??can u suggest me a place where i can ask ques abt bits pilani??
June 9th, 2007 at 12:21 pm
will iist provide b. tech degree which iit gives??
June 9th, 2007 at 1:44 pm
My Daughter has got 6592 AIR in iitjee-2007 will she get admission in IIST .what is the procedure
June 9th, 2007 at 11:13 pm
Surya,
My brother also got selected in IIT extended list and so I was going thriugh this website. I am a aerospace engineer and I have done MS from US and now I am working in US. After aerospace from US you will not get job in defence field but you can always get job in Boeing, Airbus, Sesna etc…I am working at Boeing. But to work at places like Lockheed, Bell Helicopter, NASA etc you need US citizenship.
June 10th, 2007 at 1:47 pm
hi i am also one of the students who have been selected in the IIT extended list.I am interested in taking admission in IIST but i know only a little about the admission procedure and that too from this website.I haven’t yet recieved the detailed prospectus as mentioned on this site.So if anyone knows about the counselling date or recieves the prospectus please inform me about that here itself.
June 10th, 2007 at 2:28 pm

June 10th, 2007 at 2:38 pm

June 11th, 2007 at 1:18 am
hi friends. i got a lot of information form this page. thanks for that. could any on explain for me, what is the meaning of personal counselling? is it interview?
June 11th, 2007 at 1:39 am
oh! now i h’ve read you all. i think the IIST is only for those, who are interested in working with ISRO and feel proud of it. money should not matter guys! after all our government takes care of scientists very well. it will be good to have research oriented mindset before taking admission.
June 11th, 2007 at 7:21 am
Hi Sneka
Thanks for the information. I think you are the right person to ask few questions on this area as I find, you have “facts” rather than “feel or opinion” - 3 questions please:
1.Will US Universities recognise IIST like IIT as your brother / my son and others will be first batcher? - what is your “hunch”
2. Which US Universities are good for Aerospace and Avionics for MS and P hd? How easy or difficult to get jobs in private sector for non-US citizens in this area?
3. If not too private, in which Uni in USA you did your MS and in which Uni. you did your BE/B Tech? - I presume, you did Bachelor in India. (if you wish to answer then only please)
Kind regards
Surya
June 11th, 2007 at 10:53 am
hi sneha…
I heared that recommendations are required for doin MS in US. How do they consider students for funding? Will I be able to do MS is astronautics after doing B.Tech . How is Dakota univ.? Please help me out because this wud determine what will I go for. I am already persuing my B.Tech in Mech.. from NIT allahabad.
June 11th, 2007 at 12:32 pm
hi sneha…
You are the right person to direct all queries related to avionics and aerospace. I would like to know if after a BE in avionics , will i be able to pursue my masters and other higher studies in the field of electronics? If so,what could be my options in MS in electronics?
June 11th, 2007 at 1:58 pm
Guys, for more on IIST admissions, see todays newspapers…
June 11th, 2007 at 2:30 pm
Hi Mohan
You started - now dsicussion is gaining momentum
Let us see how it proceeds
Thanks a lot

June 11th, 2007 at 4:33 pm
hey guys keep sharing the information,
if anybody receives the counselling brochure,
do tell coz i hv been placed in the jee merit list
but wanna go there……..
@kaushik
btother i m also doing mech at dce(delhi)……..
go there only if ur really interested in exploring space…..
June 11th, 2007 at 4:38 pm
the only thing that bothers me is that it’s the
first batch of students……
whether the institute would be able to stand up to
what it promises
there are talks of A.P.J Abdul Kalam joining there as
a faculty member.
June 11th, 2007 at 4:51 pm
the situation is very sketchy………..
do we have to work there(5 years),even if we don’t
take the financial assistant…….
because iist’s objective is to meet the shortage of the quality engineers and scientists for india’s space programme.
June 11th, 2007 at 7:37 pm
i even got placed in the extended mierit list.if any one can please giv me company, I am from jalandhar, punjab. contact me at +919988262928. thanx alot
June 11th, 2007 at 9:43 pm
Yeah, Dr Kalam may join as a visiting professor…
June 12th, 2007 at 2:21 am
i have also been selected in the extended merit list. The registeration on the iist website has already started,i have registered but not yet recieved me brochure.Has anyone of u recieved it?
And will someone guide me for doing aerospace engg. will cochin university be a bettr option or iist
June 12th, 2007 at 11:31 am
Hi Manish…..
I do really want to go for space eploration but m too afraid that this is the first batch and I am not sure whether I’ll be able to do MS in this field after doing my B.Tech . Even then I am more inclined to join this institute . I saw the management board . The members there
are high profile members ; which makes me feel the stand of the institute . Also my sister is a scintist at ISRO but even she has got not much information till now. But she is confident of one thing that by the next budget the salary scale is going to get higher . What are you thinking? DCE is a premier institute . But I think this will be a good one too because all going there will have a similar set of mind. What I have observed till now in other institutes is that engineering students are more inclined towards the management side.
June 12th, 2007 at 4:47 pm
Hey Prateek, No, IIST will be a MUCH better option that CUSAT.
Kaushik, Like I said, mostly IIST will become better than IITs!
June 12th, 2007 at 5:40 pm
during pre counselling activities only 600 students will be selected for conselling on july 20 . what about rest?
June 12th, 2007 at 6:02 pm
only abt 150 seats are in iist , then what is the sense in calling 600 or more students for counselling
June 12th, 2007 at 11:43 pm
the problem is now they r having counselling on 20th july, till then admissions will be closed everywhere. So we have to take admissions somewhere else before its counselling. For this reason i m thinking abt taking aerospace in cochi, but the problem arises is tht they will submit my original certificates nd iist too has asked for certificates
And hey wht do u people think abt iiser
June 13th, 2007 at 12:06 am
Ya Prateek i was thinking about the same what should we do?????
June 13th, 2007 at 12:15 am
so ankur wht r the other options with you.
June 13th, 2007 at 6:54 am
Dear Ankur and Prateek
Still it is not clear whether the students placed in the extended merit list will get the first priority. To me it appears, they will prepare combined merit list - from extended merit list + IIT who have not taken the seat . What will be the order of priority? Obviously you can expect competition if more than approx. 100 students apply.
Hence it is Prudent to take admission in your chosen branch in some college. This is what my son is doing. Please do not worry about losing some money - this will give you peace of mind and reduce tension at least.
Best of luck
surya

Hi dudes n dudettes…I called today IIST as well as JEE office…while surfing, saw u ppl discussing,so thot sharing my conversation with IIST n JEE office, which i m sure, will help you…
(so sad na )..the criteria for selection will be ,the marks/rank awarded to them by JEE-2007..you need to do online registration,no matter whether you have received counselling brochure or not..once you do registration, you will get the brochure..the only eligibilty is,you are placed in extended merit list, thats all…!! you too can call IIST on :- 08022172392
so..
IIST:- They told they will call 600 students out of which they will take 120 students…rest will be sent back
for online registration you can refer the link below,
main website :- http://iist.ac.in/index.htm
Counseling info :- http://iist.ac.in/newsitem3.php
Online Registration :- http://www.isac.gov.in/iist/
And now,my conversation with IIT MADRAS(my lovely college :)) JEE office:-
all the best for ur bright future..!!
He told that this year, this list has been published by iit bombay..and according to him, this extended merit list wont b disclosed…and apart from that he told that even if your rank is not so good in the list(say 500 or so) there is still a chance that you may get admission in IIST,bcz many students selecterd in the xtnd list may not go for IIST…so the probability is still high…btw, you can call at IITB jee office for more info…
the jee website of iitb is http://www.jee.iitb.ac.in/main.php
..dudes/babes
incase you need more info, better call them directly..all these i know bcz i was quering for my bro…
June 13th, 2007 at 12:06 pm
Hey again all,
Your tension and anxiety is understandable. Like Surya said, get admission in some other college to have a safe springboard. If you get in at IIST, well and good. If not, never mind, you still can study at the college you chose earlier.
Good luck.
P.S: Just pay your fees at the college concerned, dont give up your certificate. As for CUSAT, I dont think they start classes until August!
June 13th, 2007 at 12:49 pm

IISER is going to be a blessing in disguise.A huge fund is being allocated for scienctific research by central government.Apart from research IISER opens a floodgate of employment opportunities as well.

June 18th, 2007 at 5:06 pm
the only thing that worries me,is what if i go there
and end up not liking it…..
i’ll waste a year.
and the brand DCE would no longer be there in my profile….
i m confused….
and the IIST website has done very little to help my cause.
June 18th, 2007 at 7:51 pm
no worries manish…i’m going to take two semester leaves….that will be 1 year . within 1 year i’ll be knowing what i ought to. if i go back, i’ll have a year back…but that is too little a cost i’ll pay for my attempts to go for my dreams. but i am sure i’ll like that insti…anyways i would have gone for further studies . so a brand name is not a very, very important thing for me….here’s my id. kaushik.parashar@gmail.com

when is the counselling for iist, iiser.what are the job oppurtunities i can expect if i join there
June 21st, 2007 at 8:07 pm
I don’t know when the councelling is for IIST or IISER. Please refer to website. As for job opportunities which IIST - you are limited to ISRO and maybe the aviation industry in India. And there is no bond for working at IIST unless you take there financial assistance for studying. I have answered some related questions on my blog:

June 21st, 2007 at 8:08 pm
hey guys
fantstic how this site helps you in getting an idea of things. thanks to all. but i have doubts. u guys saying iist will be if not better, similar level to iit’s. do u have a basis to this? i am a space freak and have been facinated by space science and missions like ppl follow cricket in india. but i am not rich and i have some financial problems, so, what should i do, also do i have a chance to get into NASA after those 5 yrs? i have qualified in extended merit list and have registered also.
June 21st, 2007 at 8:14 pm
I believe for IIST to reach IITs level, it would take about 10-15 years because it takes time recruiting faculty and for them to settle down. IIT did not become famous overnight. Working in NASA will be difficult because you need to be a US Citizen to do. Besides, you should use your education towards contributing towards India’s needs and not the USA! Believe me when I say this (I have been living in US for five years), things are much much better in India than in US. Working in India is much better even though the grass always looks greener the other side.
Since, you have financial problems, taking the assistance will be your best bet. Alternatively, you can join IISER, and work in Astronomy (which is considered part of Physics) and there will be no bond for working anywhere and you will be getting financial assistance.

Peter, like Education Help said, its best for you to accept ISRO assistance. And yes, if you’re good, you get automatically selected for ISRO… Good luck!

Do any one else have the same issue?
I have contacted IIST over phone and they replied that there is a problem with the web registration which they are trying to rectify. However the problem still exists. What is the alternative now?

What is the interview about? You cant just ask like… differentiate blah blah in someones face in an interview…
July 4th, 2007 at 1:30 am
yeah.there may be an interview.but they will ask just fundamentals of the concepts.they wont ask to solve big problems.they check our aptitude & attitude.

rajani, actually i dont know abt it exactly.but they may check our ability and they may be interested in people who r willing to join isro.may be they will check people who r willing to stay back in india and serve the country.but i hav one more info.my uncle who is working in baba atomic research centre told me not to worry abt the salaries in isro bcoz gvt is plannig for v| pay scale central comission .may be they will give starting salary frm 30000-35000 competing with mnc`s(multi national companies) bcoz gvt is short of talented people.it is given in iist website (likely to be revised)salaries.
July 6th, 2007 at 6:34 pm

July 8th, 2007 at 7:21 pm
wat shit is this …. plz ne 1 help… they hv taken out the list but includes only iit rank holders… wereas on there site they posted that those in the merit list will get preference…. this is breaching there own norms… sheer injustice…. biasing wouldnt hv been a problem if we would hv been told so…. but this is lik stabbing our backs…. plz guys lets raise voice against this…
July 8th, 2007 at 8:39 pm
absolutely right….. if they wanted to give names ony of rank holders than why they wrote lies in their site….only to make students feel bad???
July 8th, 2007 at 8:45 pm
but how you people know that they gave names only of rank holders?
July 8th, 2007 at 9:55 pm
totally distraught at this news guys, it has broken my dreams of getting into a space org and getting a aeronautical degree. i agree, i think we should ask them for a second counselling because i think most of the guys who have registered: the guys who have iit rank, they just did it for fun or for security. i dont think even 200 of the list will attend. so maybe we can ask them for a second counselling and for only those who have extended merit in jee. what do u say?
July 9th, 2007 at 11:01 am
*****
July 9th, 2007 at 11:05 am
lets agitate against this act of cheating through media and internet, please people collectively let us find a solution…..
July 9th, 2007 at 1:46 pm
hey guys.the people in the list r those who got ranks in jee starting frm 875 to 6890.these people didnt get any branch they liked in iitjee.so they hav opted for this.if u wanna check, check the iit website.they didnt get seat allocation in any of the iits.but i dont know why the girl who got 870 rank in iitjee has opted this!!!!!!!! so i think many people will attend the counselling on july 20.i too got in extended list.
July 9th, 2007 at 2:28 pm
hey did you see the instructions for counselling. the bond is compulsary.to break the bond in the middle we hav to pay 10lakhs.so idont know how many people in the counselling list accept this.
July 9th, 2007 at 3:06 pm
hi prasanth
i have right now check the list .you are right. only rank holders have been selected.i do know what to do? i have taken admission in vnit nagpur for MEC. but i wanted to join iist. now unfair thing has happened to us. what you are planning to do futher.plz call 9892649478
July 9th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
I too am sailing in the same ship as u guys .I have asked my father to file a case against iist for blind folding us from taking other options which would also provide good future to us. After having lost all those options i was left with extended merit in jee , after they published the counselling list today i am totally shattered , i have no choice but to waste an year , i will surely bring iist to its foundation
July 9th, 2007 at 9:18 pm
yup guys…itz da same here….they should’nt have done this. i hope not even 120 students take admission there..
July 10th, 2007 at 1:47 pm
i think dat they r simply playig with our future. firstly they made us dream n now…… im feeling so bad about it i cant explain. definitely the rankers had registered for fun sake .n the 1 with 800 something rank???? i feel like giving him life imprisonment for doing so
July 10th, 2007 at 3:21 pm
hey guys, this has not only happened at iist.I attended the counselling of iiser,nd there too they frauded us,no interview, nothing……….All selected by jee ranks.and there too most were from main list who got selected, and almost all of themm had already taken admission in either iit or BHU nd dhanbad…its really playing with our future, bec. even if they dont return to iits to take those seats,we dont have a option to join them, but they were able to take the seats which belonged to us………we really shud take some serious action about this…
July 10th, 2007 at 8:20 pm
hey harshita… everybody is going through the same situation and what they did is simply rediculous….
we should definitely do something but what…..?
July 10th, 2007 at 11:02 pm
in aieee also my rank is too n i can get only jaypee noida. im a dropper so i’ll have to join something or the other this year even if its the worst.im totally depreesed n iist was my last hope
July 11th, 2007 at 12:42 am
dont lose hope guys, i think most of the guys in the iist counselling list must have already secured seats elsewhere, there is high probability that they may call students of extended merit list as well , but my suggestion to those who have an option on hand is to choose that option.
July 11th, 2007 at 8:10 pm
hey buddies!!
they’ve sed dat they gonna consider even doz not called fr counsellin’ if they apply fr da branches. bt i don’t understand how to apply??
July 12th, 2007 at 12:36 am
hi guys, well i actually have an idea…. see the fact that they hv selected only iit rank holders in their list can’t be easily digested as it differs from the info displayed earlier in their site that we i.e. extende dlist candidates will be given the PREFERENCE…ne ways since we cant talk 2 them directly lets go the other way round…. of many possible these are a few that might seem unreal but with the support of many of us could actually be brought to some efeect…
1. There is an RTI act according to which we have the right to extract information from ne government body(including iist) by just drafting a letter to them costing just Rs.10… we have ensure that these guys get the letter cause then the’ll be bound 2 reply 2 us… sounds good if ne of u can find more about it please do…
2. also we can directly write or contact the HRD ministry about this thing and if many of us stand for it … its gonna be 1 hellofa thing to avoid for them…
3. and the third MEDIA by far the best option available for instant recognition… and i m sure many of u could find someone who could actually help us out with it… so guys please do consider these options and reply asap as this is the time 2 act and not sit with our hands folded… remember “God helps those who help themselves”.
July 14th, 2007 at 2:59 pm
hi friends, atlast i hav decided to repeat.i want to join in any indian institutes.thats why i didnt apply for bits though i got more than the cut off marks.i thought i would get in iist or iiser.but everything is against me.so i am repeating for iitjee.but from my childhood my ambition is to become space scientist.if ihad got a rank in iitjee main list, iwud hav opted for msc physics or aerospace engineering.but now i hav joined an institue to repeat. but if anything happens and if get iist i will surely join.
July 14th, 2007 at 3:57 pm
hi frnds, i’ve made up my mind im joining a private institute thru aieee.though i’ve heard dat its not a v.good 1 but i’ve no other option. this was last attempt at jee so my dream of becoming an iitian will never ever come true…. maybe in my next birth i become 1…
July 14th, 2007 at 7:20 pm
hey guys cool it………….
what’s goin on here………….
what IIST has done is absolutely correct…………
and u think that u have more rights at joining the institute……and all the rankers…….they r dumbs..??
none of them has an IIT seat…..
and IIST is the next best option for them…
July 25th, 2007 at 9:40 pm
i have been selected for admission to IIST aerospace engg also i have been selected for admission to dce.
What shd i do?
does aerospace engg hav any value outside govt organisations like ISRO,DRDO etc.(private sectors).?
